Position: Editor – Oil and Gas Middle East
Oil and Gas Middle East is seeking an editor keen to work on creating content across print and digital platforms for one of the most important industries in the region. The editor spearheads the brand’s editorial presence, producing content that informs, provokes, and inspires an audience of industry professionals
Responsibilities:
- Source, commission, and edit news stories
- Write online news and longer-form articles
- Compile and send out email bulletins to deadline, monitoring and improving click-through and open rates
- Curate the website to increase its use by subscribers and registered readers
Requirements:
- Professional experience writing news and features, and creating a content calendar. An ability to report complex issues accurately, quickly, and simply is essential
- Strong copy-editing and headline-writing skills
- A commercial mindset to work with the wider team to help the brand grow in all aspects
- Good communication skills, helping you to influence people that you do not manage
