Position: Applications Specialist
To provide high-quality technical support services and expertise to stakeholders in various colleges and administrative departments at the University of Sharjah in order to meet their system/application needs and requirements by developing programs and software applications in fields
Responsibilities:
- Consult with users (stores, procurement, accounting, budget, etc.) regarding applications programming requests, applications training, user support and troubleshooting.
- Analyze user applications programming requests related to overall program goals and system functionality and recommends solutions.
- Conduct document and applications tests, evaluate results and modify software/applications to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, and upgrade interfaces when needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related discipline.
- 6-8 years of UAE experience in a similar role, preferably in higher education institutions.
- Professional qualifications in software development with C++ or Python are required.
- Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python, Java, and C++.
